where the star i have been

reasons why i have stopped posting on lorlilorsor.com for so long.

1) laziness.

2) i have a journal which i write in on a very consistent basis.

i figured the business-y aspects of that journal will turn you off so i write those posts in there.

3) i am officially self-employed. my company name is Kaizen Digital Media.

i have been working on the business since year 3.

which explains why i have been so anti-social and unhappening for a good part of uni life.

unfortunately, contrary to the popular belief that entrepreneurship makes you rich beyond your wildest dreams, kang kang is still a poor man.

i know you probably visited my website and are still scratching your head wondering wtf my business is all about.

that’s okay.

that’s the reason why i’ve never really blogged about it on lorlilorsor before.

common responses when i tell folks about my business:

“oh. you scam people ah?”

“omg, porn?! never share?”

or the more common one.

“oh. hmm.. i see.”

2 reasons for the above. one, they dunno wtf i’m talking about. two, they think i’m in some sort of mlm.

fortunately, it’s none of the above; all you gotta know is this.

i’m in the search engine marketing business and basically i help other businesses get more business using the internet. i also build my own website and sell stuff on them. sometimes, i also sell these websites.

“got people buy meh?”

got. of course got. just gotta know where to look, and what to build.

things have been okay so far, with me working at home or sometimes out of my papa’s office.

i’m also helping papa out with his car business a little so if you want to buy a car just drop me an sms i’ll see if i can help you out.

so that sums it up.

lorlilorsor is where i’ll be writing stupid nonsense without capital letters at the start of first letters, so not much more of this business nonsense.

4) i was too concerned about what you guys think of what i write. and then i had a revelation.

i have always been of the opinion that blogs are meant for people to read.

i find it funny how some people can honestly say they write for personal purposes.

that’s what personal journals and diaries are for, ya know?

so anyway, i kind of fell into another trap; i had quite a few people reading lorlilorsor in the past.

general comments were that it was funny and entertaining.

which is awesome because i like writing.

yeah i know engineers aren’t supposed to like writing but i never claimed to be an excellent engineer.

so whatever.

but once in awhile i get comments like “sometimes i dunno what you saying” because once in awhile i blog about business-y stuff and cheem cheem stuff.

so i will become like.. oh, okay.

i will blog more interestingly in future.

gradually i started to scrutinize myself too much.

until i stumbled upon an awesome blog which i enjoyed reading alot.

it was deep.

resonated with me.

interesting and fun, just as i like it.

the weird thing was..

there are no comments!

post after post, there are no comments.

still, the writer continues blogging about whatever he likes with gusto.

and then i had my revelation.

who the star cares about what other people think about your posts?!

granted, blogs are made for people to read.

but when you pick up your cyber-pen and start writing, thou art thyself.

if you write with the intention of pleasing and entertaining, you are setting yourself up for pain and torment.

so yup.

since i had the revelation, i have been more liberal with what i have been writing.

let the critiques be damned!
